DU283 is a series of duathlons totalling 283km. Championed by our community’s storied passion for athletic competition, the events will take place in Sault Ste. Marie on June 25th, 2023. After a successful 2022 modified campaign DU283 is seeking further growth and development to extend its reach and impact. This event is inspired by a notion of community pride and a continuation of dutiful work going towards improving the quality of life for all the residents of the Algoma District. 

 As Chair of the Algoma Family Services Foundation Board of Directors, Sonny Spina has committed all funds raised through DU283 to AFS Foundation, ensuring all monies collected in support of youth mental health remain local. Through awareness campaigns and fundraising initiatives, DU283 will raise funds and work to bring clinicians to Sault Ste. Marie, ensuring every infant, child, youth, adult, and family will get the mental health care they need. With your support, we can continue to inspire hope and wellness within our community.
